Seven Towers Fly-in (May Bank Holiday 2008)

Seven Towers Model Flying Club, held their first fly in for 2008, over the May bank holiday. Many pilots from various clubs took the opportunity to fly at one of Northern Ireland’s top model flying fields with a large collection of model aircraft from electric jets to vintage models. John Smith and all the local club members welcomed every pilot and provide plenty of burgers and hotdogs through out the day’s activities.

With the perfect weather conditions, ‘sun and light winds down the runway’, the flight line was very active all day, one display from the electric jet flyers, involved a dog fight between 5 or 6 jets F14’s, F16’s and of course the Russian Migs, all survived to fight another day.

Overall, the fly in was fantastic, thanks to John and all the club members for a great day’s fun; I look forward to the next event!
